DR. TROY L. COLEMAN utilizes a client-centered approach to initiate formal assessments that identifies needs linking people to organizational roles, function and fit. Then, he uses ‘dialogue and discovery’ to create an awareness of strengths and shortfalls to engage goal-directed personal transformation, leader development, and organizational development.

An acknowledged authority, author, consultant and frequent lecturer, Troy leads the training Division for Kirk Willis Consulting Group. He enjoys a national reputation as a highly respected resource, recognized expert and creative problem solver in executive coaching, leader development, human resource management, and organizational development and change. His work with clients has produced significant improvements in executive leader success, key leader retention, career transition efficiency, work team and organizational effectiveness, and individual work life balance and personal satisfaction.

Troy served as the Executive Leader for Human Resources for the Dallas ISD and the City of Dallas where he recruited and selected key executive leaders for both large organizations. He was Sr. Vice-President for Human Resources for an eCommerce business, and has held other HR posts in local government, and higher education. He served in federal government posts with the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Department of Education.

Troy has served as a lecturer in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Administration, at the University of Texas, Arlington, College of Business Administration and Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business where he also lectured on Alternative Dispute Resolution. He teaches Organizational Development and Change, and a variety of courses in Human Resources, Industrial Relations and Organizational Behavior at LeTourneau University.

He has served as a faculty member with leadership institutes at George Washington University and the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA). He is professionally affiliated with the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society of Consulting Psychology, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the Society for the Psychological Study of Ethnic Minority Issues, the International Coach Federation, and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He holds coaching certifications with the Challenger Executive and Business Coaching Group.

Troy earned his Ph.D. degree from the University of North Texas and his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from Texas A&M University at Commerce.
